Atenas Preschool (APS) Ages 3-5
Prekínder – Kínder
The early years of elementary are an exciting time for your child. During these years, your child will acquire the skills and learning habits that form the foundation of a lifetime of learning. The Preschool is a nationally approved multi-aged early childhood program for 3 – 4 year olds. After opening morning bilingual exercises the children break out into age-appropriate group activities facilitated by a teacher and teacher intern for each group. It is a caring atmosphere promoting the development of responsibility, collaboration and cooperation. The 3 – 4 year old children are offered a half-day program.
The program includes emerging literacy and writing skills, hands-on manipulative mathematics activities, social skills practice, English, Science, Art, Music and Physical Education, which includes swimming classes.
Preparatoria
The Preparatoria class (5 year olds) is a full-day program. Teachers focus on the intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of each child. By engaging early learners in a dynamic rich and varied learning environment, children develop their skills and creativity. The program includes, multicultural education, environmental awareness, emerging literacy and writing skills, hands-on manipulative mathematics activities, social skills practice, science, English, art, music and physical education which includes weekly swimming lessons.
